What a week of milestones!

We hit so many milestones this week... mostly good ones! :)

Allie started sitting up unassisted really well, she started army crawling, and she got her first ear infection.

Kylie, who also has another ear infection, went with me to go shopping tonight. We picked out a potty seat for her and she was so excited that she carried it to the store and even wanted to carry the bag out to the car, all by herself!

When we got home, Kylie wanted to immediately put the potty seat on the toilet and try to sit on it. She did, then got down and started running around without her pants on. 30 seconds later, I find Kylie using a towel to wipe up pee on the kitchen floor. "I pee pee Mama!" She said, and then ran to the bathroom and asked to be put up on the toilet. Then she peed in the toilet for the first time ever!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was so proud of her, it took a lot to not jump up and down shouting hooray! But I restrained myself ;) Hopefully this continues well. Though I'm not sure we're ready for full-on potty training just yet since the antibiotics Kylie just started upset her tummy and I don't really want that type of mess to clean up...

Since this week, Thursday, was Earth Day, we made some Earth crafts. Here is Kylie "smelling" her large coffee filter flower that she made.
Tonight, Kylie asked to hold Allie. So we let her. Then she asked for us to take a picture of them. So sweet! Here they are :)

Hot, Cold, Hot, Cold...

We're loving the hot weather! 82 on Thursday... and then Saturday, only 42. Didn't love that.

Since it was so warm on Thursday, I decided to pull out Kylie's water table. She was so excited! When we first started getting ready to go outside, Kylie was waiting by the sliding door and I heard her say "Hi animal!" I looked out and saw this...
Ick! I told her that was not a nice animal. Needless to say, we waited until he went on his way before heading outside!

Kylie had a blast with the water...
Allie relaxed in the stroller and watched the fun...

....and Zoe, well, Zoe got a nice shower ;)
The yard is getting so green so fast!
Beginning of the week...
End of the week!

Now that Allie is sitting up on her own, we decided to try giving the girls a bath together! Both loved it!

We got a fish!

I've been telling Kylie that we could get a fish. This week, we finally got one! Kylie picked out a red Beta fish at the pet store. She then chose a small fish bowl and some blue stones and shells for the bottom. Now we just need to decide on a name!

When we got home from the pet store, Kylie helped me put everything into the fish bowl. She was so excited to see her fish in the bowl on the table!!

Then she told me she was hungry and asked me to eat. I asked her what she wanted for lunch and she said she wanted to eat her fish... errrr.... :/

That afternoon, we decided to make a fish craft. Kylie LOVES painting!!

We have had a very busy week. The weather has been on/off nice or too cold, so on those warm days, we take full advantage and head outside! Kylie was playing in the yard while I was cooking dinner one evening and Ryan and I realized that she was on the sports court playing in the water... Trying to figure out what she was doing; bending over, standing back up, running around, bending over some more.... hmmm...

Turns out she was making water handprints all over! How cute :)

Here is a picture of happy Alexandra watching us eat dinner, and patiently waiting for her rice cereal!
After dinner, Allie was calmly playing in her jumper when Kylie came over to help :) Kylie loves to show Allie how to play with her toys, and she loves giving Allie hugs! Awww :) She squeezed a little too hard and Allie wasn't thrilled...
At the end of the week, Alexandra was a little sick. She wouldn't eat so I brought her in to see the doctor on Saturday. She either has a little virus, or a milk allergy (based on her symptoms). I'm hoping it's just a virus and not an allergy! Thankfully she already seems to be getting better.

We were surprised to find out that Allie has gained 2 lbs in the last 5/6 weeks! She now weighs 18 lbs!!! And she is wearing 9 month clothes. She's super tall too, our big girl :)

Despite not feeling well, she was still happy as could be and still loves playing on her playmat!

Easter Sunday

Easter was spent with Ryan's family. The whole family at his Grandma's house! There were probably 38(ish?) people so I was a bit worried about Alexandra being scared of all the noise and all the new faces. But she did awesome!!

Kylie was excited to see her second cousins and had a blast as always.

Alexandra was amazing. I was so proud of her! She was happy to sit in her car seat and watch everyone for the first hour or so. After lunch, we held her and played a bit. Then it was nap time... this is the part I was worried about. But I put her in her car seat and faced it to the wall. Despite all the noise, she contently sucked her thumb and drifted off to sleep. She slept a typical nap for her and didn't fuss a bit! I couldn't believe it! What an easy baby she is :) We are so lucky to have 2 amazing little girls!

aaaaand.... we're done! ;)
In her Easter basket, Kylie got a doctor set and doll. She loves playing doctor! Here she is checking her baby's breathing and heart beat :)

April already!

So much going on this week. On Wednesday, we went to Pump It Up again. It's an indoor bounce house place that Kylie absolutely LOVES!! She takes off immediately and runs around from one bounce structure to another. Her favorite is the slide... it's probably about a story high and she just climbs right up and slides down. This child has no fear! ;)

After the bounce place, Kylie and her friends came back here for lunch. Here are the older sibs with their baby sisters :) Brayden missed the pictures.. I think he was off playing and wouldn't sit still ;)
Kylie with Alexandra, Kate with Elayna

The babies: Alexandra (5months) Elayna and Breana (8/9 months)

On Wednesday, we had an Easter Egg Hunt to attend with Kylie. After the fun of collecting plastic eggs in the grass, which Kylie dumped all out of her basket at the very end, the girls got to visit with the Easter bunny! After, Kylie went to the face-painting room and got Elmo painted on her hand. She was so excited!!

Lastly, we've had such gorgeous weather lately!! Here's a picture of Kylie finally getting to wear a dress, playing on the deck :)
