Visit with Santa!

Today we got to go visit Santa! We got to the mall at 9:30am and the first available time they had was at 1:40! Busy busy Santa ;) So we hung out with some friends, shopped a bit, then met Ryan for lunch. We made it back to the mall just in time to see Santa. Kylie asked him for a guitar and Allie shrieked the entire time (and for 5 mins after...).   :)

Here we are, while waiting... The girls are writing letters to Santa. They even got to send it off in a special mailbox to the North Pole!

Perfect Snow Day!

What a perfect day! Beautiful snow fall, warm enough to play outside, perfect wet snow for snowman building, enough snow for sledding, and best of all, it's Sunday...which means Ryan is home to enjoy it all with us! :)
December has arrived in full force! It's been snowing since last night and we're expecting 5 to 8 inches! Thankfully, the super cold weather is waiting until after the snow! That means we get to enjoy all this beautiful weather outside :)

This morning, we all went out to play in the snow. Kylie and Ryan made a snowman while I walked around with Allie in the Ergo carrier. When Allie went down for her nap, Ryan, Kylie and I ran around the yard and pulled Kylie on the sled. What fun! We spent a good hour outside having a blast :)

Happy Thanksgiving!

About 3 weeks late...but here are the pictures finally!

We had a great Thanksgiving with Ryan's extended family. After a delicious lunch, the girls had a great time playing with their second cousins. Kylie spent 1/2 the time walking around holding hands with Sophie. Very cute!

GeeGee with the great grandchildren :)

Back home, our own little family Thanksgiving.

Kylie LOVES today's special treat: sparkling juice :D

Putting up Christmas decorations.... what fun toys the boxes are! ;)

Happy girl!

Proud moments

Here are some of my absolute favorite things about Alexandra right now :)
Everytime I tell Allie "No.", she gives me a HUGE grin, shakes her head back and forth, and then sings "nah nah nah" (her way of saying no). Half the time she starts dancing along to her singing, and then claps! Kinda missing the point there kiddo ;) And I kinda can't help but laugh every time, even though I probably shouldn't :)
She loves talking on phone and gets so excited when she "gets a phone call" :)
She loves reading books and pointing to all the animals and babies.
When we say "Touchdown!", she throws her hands up in the air, the touchdown sign!
She loves dancing! She spins around in circles then stops and bounces up and down. When she's done, she claps and shouts "yehhhh yehhhh"
Really, anytime we say "Yay!" she starts clapping and smiling and saying "yehhhhh"
This kiddo is seriously the happiest baby in the world :)

Kylie is talking soooooooooooo much now! She asks about everything...and remembers EVERYTHING. Every day we hear "go to the beach?" 10000 times. And "we're going to ArizNona to see Nonna and Papa for Christmas!"
Today we were building a train out of her wooden alphabet blocks. Kylie put down the letter "K" and I asked her what letter it was. She said "K!" Then I asked her who's name starts with the letter K? I could see her thinking really hard...and then she said "kuh (made the sound for K). KYLIE!"  Sooooo proud of my big girl learning her letters and letter sounds and making those connections to words already. Wow :)
Here are some pictures from Halloween night that I never got around to posting:

And a picture from tonight...while I was trying to cook dinner. Kylie was being wild as always, and Allie was being unusually clingy and cranky (she has 2 teeth coming in an took bad nap this afternoon :( So I turned up some dance music, strapped Allie onto my back in the Ergo, and we danced around the kitchen while I cooked! Problem solved :)

Nonna's Pictures

My mom has been in town for the past 10 days. We LOVE having her here!!! Sadly, it's time for her to go home.... maybe one day my parents will buy a place up here and spend their summers here (so much better then Arizona summers, right! Hint, hint!) ;)

Here are some of my favorite pictures from my mom's camera.

Allie says "Thanks for the great gift Nonna and Papa!"

Apple picking!

We went on a field trip this morning for some apple picking. What fun! I love that both girls were totally into it. They loved being on the hay ride. Allie amazed me with how aware she was of everything; how she squealed and laughed when the tractor started up and we rolled along.

They had a ton of fun picking apples. Kylie kept looking for red ones and wanted to find the best looking apples. Allie just wanted to eat them all ;) Both devoured an apple on the hay ride back! We then enjoyed some donuts and cider.

Lastly, we checked out all the animals at the farm! Both girls took off running, super excited. They loved seeing the ponies, llama, sheep, chickens, and even a donkey.
