"I'm falling apart! waaaaa!"

Kylie just came to me crying, completely devastated and terrified... "I'm falling apart! waaaah. I'm falling apart!"

Turns out the skin on one of her toes is peeling just a little. It took me a good 10 minutes (and a pair of socks) to get her to calm down and understand that it's ok and normal.

New Shoes

I took Allie shopping for a pair of new shoes, and found the cutest sneakers! Actually, she found them on the shelf, grabbed for them, wanted me to put them on her, and refused to take them off after that ;) Ha. We roamed the store with her new shoes on and only took them off for a brief minute to scan the tag. Allie is in love!

Of course I had to get Kylie a new pair of shoes as well. And I didn't even realize until we got home that Kylie's new shoes light up when she walks. She was sooooooooo beyond excited! She wore her new shoes around the house, insisted on wearing them to bed for her nap, and somehow managed to sneak them back into her room, put them on, and sleep with them on that night!

Score for 2 pairs of shoes on the clearance racks!

The "Elligator"

Today at school, Kylie excited showed me a window from the school office looking into the university. She kept shouting "look Mommy, an Elligator! And Elligator!" Turns out she was pointing to the elevator. She insisted it was an Elligator, no matter how many times I tried to get her to say "elevator" :)

Things are so literal to a 3 year old!

I love it :)

Dinner tonight, nothing new, Kylie won't eat:

Kylie: "I don't like it! I don't want to eat!"

Ryan: "If you eat it, you'll grow strong and get beautiful princess nails!" 

Kylie gobbles down her entire plate of food in under a minute, looks at her nails and says: "Where are my princess nails?" LOL

I told her I'd paint her nails if she ate her apple sauce too, so she finished that immediately. Then we painted her nails pretty princess pink :)

Outdoor February Fun

It has been soooooooooo gorgeous here the past couple of days! Amazing how "warm" 45/50 degrees can feel after weeks of temperatures in the teens and below.

Ahhhhh it feels like Spring is coming :)

And on a side-note, and I'm only including this because I want to remember it so that one day, when Kylie's a surly teenager, I can remind her that she was pretty good at embarrassing me too ;) Though as embarrassing as it was....it still made me laugh.

At French class yesterday, we were singing the Hello song. We go through each child's name and sing: "Bonjour Kylie, comment ca va? ..... Bonjour Alexandra, comment ca va?......" Then the child asks Mommy how she's doing. Kylie was supposed to look at me and say "Bonjour Maman. Comment ca va?" Instead, Kylie walked over to me, grabbed my boob, and yelled "Mommy's boobies!" in front of the entire class. And believe me, she was nice and loud. No one missed it ....thanks hunny....
