End of March

I was sick last weekend, so here's 2 weeks in one post :)

Last week, we had a new first for Alexandra! She started baby food! Rice cereal last week, and oatmeal this week. I couldn't believe how much she liked it and how quickly she understood how to eat off the spoon and swallow. She was definitely ready to start on solids!

Unfortunately, due to my being so sick and dehydrated, my milk supply dropped drastically and we are now having to switch over to formula. I have no problem with this, other then breastfeeding being so much easier. And I'm not ready to stop yet, which makes me sad. I'm taking Fenugreek in hopes of being able to bring my supply back up, but I'm not having much luck... But the good news is Allie eats like a champs, breastmilk, formula, solids, it doesn't matter what it is, she loves it! ;)

The weather was beautiful last week! It got cold again this week, but at least we were able to enjoy some beautiful weather! Hello Spring! Here's Kylie collecting sticks and acorns in the yard, then counting them.
Then there's Kylie playing in a box while I'm cooking dinner. She was having a great time...until she couldn't get out ;)
Then she decided to run over and give Alexandra some hugs and kisses. I love seeing that!
Here are some pictures of Allie hanging out in her room.
And the girls playing together...

Our first trip to the zoo this year

The weather was perfect for the zoo last Tuesday... so we went with some friends!

March 8-15 - Brag Post ;)

Have I ever mentioned what a HAPPY baby Alexandra is?! She amazes me every day. She is just so laid-back and happy all the time. She rarely cries, only when something is wrong (or lately a little separation anxiety is starting to come in..). Alexandra will happily play on her play mat or just watch us run around like crazy trying to get out of the door. She is happy in her car seat watching kids play at a playgroup or people in a restaurant; she just watches and plays with her Whoozit rattle or chews on her Sophie the Giraffe teether. She smiles all.the.time and lately has been letting out happy squeals. It is so very cute! Her personality is definitely coming out already and there is no better word to describe her then "sweetheart". She has such a calm and bright presence, so happy and relaxed and observant. She is my sweet little angel baby.

And Kylie... my sweet baby! (yes, she will always be my baby ;) My wild child! I am amazed by her every day too; how much she is growing, how sweet she is, how smart she is and how much she knows! I can't believe she can already recognize almost the entire alphabet by name, at random. She can count to 20. She knows and sings a million songs. She loves to paint and knows all her colors. She is very observant and remembers everything (like that the night before I told her she could have a piece of chocolate after her nap the next day. Don't count on her forgetting that! Haha). She listens so well and she always busy doing something! She loves to play dress-up now, and feed her bear-bear. She loves pushing dolls and stuffed animals in her stroller. And she loves to "read". She also seems to be very mechanical, just like her dad; loving to take stuff apart and can actually put things back together! Kylie is my g0-getter. She is very head-strong and still a pleaser. I can't wait to meet the amazing woman I know she is going to become; I know she is going to accomplish so much. :)

March 1-7

March is off to a great start! When I picked Kylie up from school on Monday, her hair was up in pigtails!! So cute! She loves it, I love it, so now we put her hair up as often as we can (and as often as she'll sit still to let me do it :)
Also as of this week, Alexandra has been consistently sleeping through the night.. 11-12 hours straight! Glorious glorious sleep!
Sisterly love. I love hearing Kylie say "Hi Allie!" and even better... when Kylie sings "I love Allie, I love Allie, yes I do!"
Have I mentioned that it's been sunny almost every single day?! Ahhh sun! Talk about lifting your mood and making the world seem so much brighter ;)
Kylie and Ryan enjoyed the (hopefully) last of the snow for the season.

February 2010

Yesterday was Kylie's 2 year visit and Alexandra's 4 month visit at the pediatricians. Both did great! They both got shots and Kylie didn't even cry!! Alexandra was easily calmed.

At 2, Kylie is 27.4 lbs and 35 inches tall.
At 4 months, Alexandra is 16.2 lbs and 26 1/4 inches long (off the charts!)

Highlights of this month:
